Kuilei Place in Mo’ili’ili – Coming Soon

I’m excited about Kuilei Place at 2599 Kapiolani Blvd near Date Street in Mo’ili’ili. This will be one of the first new residential condominium projects outside of Kaka’ako in a long time. It is being built by kama’aina for kama’aina living. The developer is The Kobayashi Group, known for the ultra-luxury Park Lane, Hokua, and One Ala Moana, and architect is Design Partners (The Park on Keeaumoku, Azure, Sky Ala Moana, The Collection, and Waihonua).

The project will be comprised of a 12-story tower on Kapiolani Blvd with 174 units and a 43-story tower with 831 units on the Diamond Head side with a 13-story parking garage in between. There will be 1-, 2-, 3-bedroom units plus Live/Work Lofts.

Market Rates:

  • 1-bedrooms:  605-640 sq ft     $685,500 – $780,000
  • 2-bedrooms:  883-987 sq ft     $893,000 – $1,099,000
  • 3-bedrooms:  1075 sq ft            $989,000 – $1,250,000
  • Live/Work Lofts:  1084-1086 sq ft     $1,222,000 – $1,225,000
  • Applications for the Owner-Occupant lottery will soon be available at www.kuileiplace.com and are due March 4, 2023 for the Owner-Occupant lottery.

Affordable Housing Units: Of the total 1,005 units, 60% (603) will be Affordable Housing Units. Information is not yet available for that, but contact me or text 808-349-1790 and I’ll keep you up to date.

Here’s the timeline:

  • Week of February 6 (TBD): Application for market-priced Owner-Occupant units available at www.kuileiplace.com
  • February 17:  Start date for Sales Gallery appointments
  • February 19:  Seminars for the state’s HHFCD Affordable Housing Unit  Sales begin
  • March 4:  Applications due for Owner-Occupant  market rate lottery

The development, sale, and use of the project, including the initial offering is for “qualified [Hawaii] residents” who must be:

  • A citizen of the United States or resident alien
  • At least 18 years old
  • Domiciled in the state of Hawai’i and will physically reside in the unit to be purchased
  • Has the finances to purchase a unit as evidenced by a Pre-qualification Letter from a Project Lender
